A rare gilded bronze image of Vishnu from Kashmir. The four-armed deity is flanked by his two personified attributes - chakrapurusha and gadanari. In the upper two hands, he holds a spinning disc and lotus/mace (?), and the lower hands are placed on chakrapurusha and gadanari. The rectangular base waisted in the middle is also typical of Kashmiri bronzes of the period. Vishnu wears a three-leaf crown and a long garland. Slight vestiges of pigment can be seen on Vishnu’s face.
