This symbolic votive plaque originates from the monastic centres of Bihar. Such tablets were created by pressing clay into moulds and then firing the impressions. They were likely distributed to visitors as souvenirs or devotional mementoes. A closer look reveals a finely rendered stupa, with several lines of Buddhist prayers for protection inscribed below. The simplicity of design and rich symbolic value make this artefact a true delight.
