A statue of Shaivite warrior Veerabhadra, the ferocious Shiva warrior borne out of Shiva’s wrath, is a cult figure in the Deccan and South India. His iconography often alludes to his mythology as a warrior. Here, Veerabhadra stands upright on a lotus pedestal. He is dressed in a breastplate and boots and holds attributes like a sword, fire, snake, and bow. He wears a conical crown with a round finial, backed by a shirashchakra.
